VENERABLE ARCHBISHOP MAR IVANIOS
Venerable Archbishop Mar Ivanios (1882–1953) was the founder of the Syro-Malankara Catholic Church and a renowned educator, visionary, and spiritual leader. He led the historic Reunion Movement of 1930, bringing the Malankara Church into full communion with the Catholic Church while preserving its Eastern traditions. Remembered for his commitment to faith, education, and social service, he was declared Venerable in recognition of his heroic virtues and remains an inspiring figure of unity and service.
